Our mix is roughly 4 parts perlite (extra coarse and coarse), 2 parts peat, 1 part silica sand and 1/4 part Besgrow Long fiber sphagnum petals/fines (for even better moisture retention and root growth stimulation). In percentages that is approximately 55% perlite, 25% peat, 15% sand, 5% LFSM petals
Its is an airy mix that also holds moisture very well. Great for travelling roots!...And for your mom! 😃 ....If she likes better soil for her carnivorous plants.
